“It’s a bitter victory, since it will not bring back the felled trees,” regrets Pierre Serne, after the decision of the administrative court (TA) of Montreuil (Seine-Saint-Denis), which has just annulled an order from the mayor (PCF) of Montreuil, Patrice Bessac.
As of February 8, 2022, the latter authorized the felling of twenty plane trees, rue Voltaire.
The court granted the request of the opposition elected official (EELV) filed on February 11.
But it’s been a long time since the twenty plane trees disappeared from the landscape.
“They were shot the same day the decree was issued,” laments the opponent.
