Three young men were convicted by the Senlis court for drug trafficking organized around the Nan church square

“Hello Bedo, 7 days a week, 24 hours a day”.

It was on this Snapchat group that Abdelkader S., 22, began trafficking cannabis resin.

If the young man claims to have worked as a dealer only for three months, that did not prevent him from finding himself, this Monday, in the company of two other defendants, Maka B. and Helias C. before the Senlis court for acts committed between 2022 and 2024.

The three young men were at the origin of drug trafficking in Nanteuil-le-Haudouin, where the Place de l'Église and the school grounds were, according to testimony given at the trial, two privileged deal points.

All three were sentenced to sentences ranging from two to six months incarceration, as well as a fine of 1,000 euros each.

They all went to prison after their trial.

“It’s stupidity”

Pouches, a scale and a kitchen knife bearing traces of cannabis resin: these are the few objects found by gendarmerie investigators in the bushes of the park, in July 2022. On these, DNA traces correspond to one of the defendants, Helias C. A small traffic which had attracted the attention of the residents, several reports of which were passed on to the gendarmes.

During the investigations, the defendants' telephone data revealed explicit exchanges on the sale of drugs.

A bundle of clues which made it possible to make a link between the three boys, seen together on several occasions.

The searches at their home will finally support the doubts of the investigators.

At Maka, more than 1,200 in cash will be found.

The police will also get their hands on alarm guns and quantities of drugs, more or less significant.

At Abdelkader, only a few grams were found, while investigators found more than 210 g at Helias.

If the latter does not admit all of the facts with which he is accused, the two others have pleaded guilty.

“It’s stupidity,” admits Abdelkader.

Now I understand that hard work pays off.

Their lawyers tried to downplay the scope of their business.

“This is not international trafficking,” laments one of the defense lawyers.

But the criminal records of the three young men, including several offenses linked to drug trafficking, do not work in their favor.

For the prosecutor, it is on the contrary “a prosperous activity”, which would undermine “public security and health”.

For the lawyers, the sentence adopted by the court was not the appropriate solution.

Their customers are also consumers, one of them smokes “5 to 6 joints a day”.

“In prison, cannabis circulates,” assures one of them.

Incarceration is not a solution to addiction.
