Shots triggered a major police operation in Ampermoching last Friday.
Update from February 13th, 5 p.m.:
Yesterday the Upper Bavaria North Police Headquarters announced further details about the shooting last Friday afternoon on Tulpenstrasse in Ampermoching (we reported).
According to a spokesman for the police headquarters, a dispute broke out between a 73-year-old pensioner and a 39-year-old traveling salesman during a purchase transaction around 2:30 p.m.
The background to this was the pensioner's suspicion that the dealer from North Rhine-Westphalia had cheated or stolen from him when purchasing jewelry and other items, according to the police.
According to previous findings, after the dealer drove away in his car, the 73-year-old fired several shots from a pistol in the direction of the 39-year-old's vehicle.
No one was injured.
In close coordination with the Munich II public prosecutor's office, the Fürstenfeldbruck criminal police are currently investigating the circumstances of the crime.
The weapon, which was legally in the possession of the accused, was seized.
