On the B 17, between Kinsau and Hohenfurch, a van crashed into a broken down vehicle late on Monday afternoon.

Hohenfurch

- On Monday, February 12th, at 4:40 p.m., a 36-year-old woman from the Altlandkreis Schongau was driving her Skoda car south on the B17.

Between Kinsau and Hohenfurch, shortly after the district border in the two-lane area, her check engine light suddenly lit up on her car and she lost speed, according to the Schongau police report.

The woman could no longer accelerate her car, drove to the right side of the road and stopped there with her car.

She then left her vehicle, put on her high-visibility vest and stood behind the guard rail to make a phone call.

Shortly afterwards, a 29-year-old man from Munich drove his van in the same direction.

Due to carelessness, he overlooked the Skoda car in front of him and collided head-on and without braking into the rear of the unoccupied broken down vehicle.
