Andrea Boutz started playing chess at the age of six and followed in the footsteps of her older sister, chess champion Alexandra Boutz, a star and leading streamer on the gaming platform Twitch, who had a relationship between her and the main character in the "Queen's Gambit" series.

At the age of seven, Andrea already started competing in professional tournaments, but she became famous precisely because of her looks and not her professional ability in the game, which is much lower than her sister's.

Andrea, who was nicknamed "the sexiest chess player in the world", recently made an embarrassing comeback with a loss to an 11-year-old player. Butz was actually considered a great promise and at the age of 13 she won several important tournaments.

Her success in the conservative game along with her appearance greatly increased her popularity on social networks, when she has already gained over 630 thousand followers on her Instagram and another half a million on TikTok.

But her embarrassing loss to the 11-year-old last March caused her great embarrassment and she did not hide it.

She took a break from playing and also from social media until a month after the loss she uploaded a picture of herself sad next to a chess board and wrote: "It took me a month to overcome the embarrassment after the loss to the 11-year-old."

Her followers were quite confused about this post with one writing to her: "Kids are cruel and she let you know it."

"I'd be happy to lose to a queen like you," wrote another fan.

In 2020, Andrea joined her sister Alexandra's YouTube channel, which has over 1.4 million paid subscribers.

They have also amassed over a million followers and 19 million views on their Twitch channel, called BotezLive.

Of course, the chess game is marginal in her online presence compared to the bold posts and photos that Andrea uploads.

However, in 2023 Botz decided to participate in her biggest challenge - the Chessboxing Championship.

It is a combination of two sports, chess and boxing, when the participants fight for three minutes in boxing and then three minutes in chess.

The last tournament was held in Los Angeles, where in front of 300,000 spectators... Andrea lost in both boxing and chess.
