Since yesterday (Monday), screenshots of a WhatsApp conversation between two mothers have been circulating on Facebook - one whose daughter celebrated a birthday, and the other whose daughter was not invited to the celebration, according to the host mother, because the gifts she brings are not enough.
The mother of the birthday girl claimed that a gift of NIS 50 was not enough to cover the costs of her daughter's birthday, so she was not invited.
The mother of the second girl asked to consider her financial situation and explain to the other children that "every gift is a gift", but was met with a refusal.
According to the correspondence uploaded to the web, the mother of the birthday girl explained to the other mother that she is giving the girl "a birthday according to what she wants", and that she is "absorbing very high costs".
She stated that "this should be your logic for not sending the girl because she doesn't bring presents. The friends always talk about her that she doesn't bring presents on any birthday and eats like a pig (child's words)".
On the other hand, the mother of the girl who was not invited, answered her: "What? She likes to come and be happy for her friends, what is her fault that she doesn't have money? I'm not ashamed, I fight for every shekel. So I do buy a gift card for 50 NIS And the girl did not come empty-handed.
Maybe you and the other mothers should talk about the fact that every gift is a gift and the main thing is the intention.
They are in the fifth grade, I'm shocked."

The mother of the birthday girl replied: "You can be shocked, it's completely yours. I spend 9,500 shekels on the party, not including food and drinks and that includes a meal for the adults. It makes sense that she would receive expensive gifts. And if that means the girl brings a 50 shekel gift - Don't come, it's better.
Let's say she's sick, it's not that interesting.
How difficult is it to respect the request that the girl not come?".
The mother of the girl who was not invited responded: "The girl will be upset, what will I tell her?
They didn't want you to come because you don't bring an expensive gift?
Instead of explaining to your girl that the main thing is the intention?".
The mother of the birthday girl replied: "Break your head.
The girl is unwanted and that's it.
We are mothers, we will close it between us so that the girl will not be harmed."
The post that was uploaded to the web drew harsh reactions from many surfers who were shocked by the conversation between the two mothers, and even received close to tens of thousands of shares.
