The SPD and the Greens in Oberhaching are calling on the planning association not to slow down the construction of wind turbines in the Perlach Forest.
Oberhaching
- The fact that the Regional Planning Association (RPV) no longer designates the Perlacher Forest as a priority area for wind turbines is bringing the parliamentary groups and local associations of the SPD and the Greens in the municipality of Oberhaching to the barricades.
In a joint press release they speak of a “real wind power prevention strategy”.
For almost a year, the four neighboring communities of Unterhaching, Oberhaching, Taufkirchen and Grünwald have been preparing to found a wind energy consortium with the aim of building wind turbines in the Perlacher Forest with citizen participation.
But now the regional planning association is putting the brakes on this idea with its decision.
“The fact that the RPV, whose chairman is Oberhaching Mayor Stefan Schelle, is preventing the implementation of the project is shocking,” the SPD and the Greens continued.
“Ideology-driven”: Accusation of CSU politics
The local politicians find the justification that there must be a distance of 15 kilometers between wind power areas and a clear view of the Alps to be guaranteed to be questionable.
The SPD and the Greens “absolutely disagree with this development”.
There is an increased need for energy, especially in metropolitan areas, which is at best generated regionally.
“Ideology-driven counter-strategies, especially among CSU politicians, endanger Bavaria as a location,” is the accusation.
Planning association should revise plans
Many municipalities have been working for years to cover their energy needs with clean and local energy and are striving for citizen participation.
“The RPV is now removing the basis for these projects.” The ARGE Wind Sauerlach, Otterfing and Aying in particular have impressively shown how citizen participation can ensure acceptance among the population.
The citizens' shares in the three wind turbines were subscribed within three hours.
The SPD and the Greens in Oberhaching are therefore calling on the RPV to revise the planning and not to slow down the already planned projects to build wind turbines.
