There will also be a Tollhub festival at Gut Hub this year.
The “Aktion Kleinkunst Penzberg” initiative is working hard on the program.
The first details for the festival, which will take place on May 10th and 11th, have already been determined.
Penzberg – A two-day festival concept, which included, among other things, a “KleinLaut” evening with various bands for young people: For its 25th anniversary last year, the Tollhub Festival at Gut Hub came up with a few innovations.
Since, according to the “Aktion Kleinkunst” organizing team, this was “a complete success,” the concept from last year will also be implemented this year.
According to the four-person organizing team - consisting of Michael Zöller, Sandra Baumgartner and Andi and Evi Mummert - a "high-quality cabaret evening, an eventful family day with an alternative market, performances for children and exciting games" are being planned.
New edition of “KleinLaut” at the Tollhub Festival
Under the motto 'KleinLaut', the festival event for young people, which was presented for the first time last year, will also be given a new edition.
The rocking evening with bands from Penzberg and the surrounding area attracted many young visitors to the estate grounds to celebrate and dance.
Cabaret with Simone Solga
As Evi Mummert informed the local newspaper when asked, it was already clear which artist would come to the cabaret evening: It was Simone Solga, who not only knows cabaret, but also sings and acts.
Nevertheless, the artist is unknown to many, says Mummert.
Solga was the first East German cabaret artist to be a guest at Hildebrandt's “Scheibenwischer” and played the main role in “Loriot's dramatic works” at the Comedy in the Bavarian Court in the early 2000s.
Solga was also a member of the “Munich Laughing and Shooting Society” for ten years.
The winner of the German Cabaret Prize 2018 will present her program “It's true” on the first evening of the Tollhub Festival, on Friday, May 10th.
On the second day of the festival, on Saturday, May 11th, the family day with the alternative market is on the program again.
This day is always very popular with visitors and active people, says Mummert.
The first interested artisans, clubs or organizations have already reported that they would like to stock a stand on the site with their goods.
Mummert assumes that there will be around 30 stalls in total where you can buy handicrafts or homemade items.
What Mummert is still missing for a successful family day are clubs or groups that would like to present demonstrations to visitors on this day or offer them other activities.
Glacier Guys appear
As for the “KleinLaut” festival in the evening, it is already certain that the Penzberg hip-hop group “Gletscher Guys” will be performing.
“The other three bands are currently in the works,” says Mummert.
