Vierkirchen – The Vierkirchen Volunteer Fire Department met for the annual meeting in the sports center.
She worked over 4,000 hours last year, as the chairman of the fire brigade association, Michael Grimmer, made clear.
The fire department was deployed 99 times last year, according to Commander Manfred Huber.
This enormous increase resulted from the two days of storms in August, when the fire department “had to go on around 50 missions alone,” says Huber.
Special events included the assembly of the new HLF 20 vehicle, the fire safety education “Marco and the Fire” at the primary school and the large-scale exercise under the motto: “Crash of a small aircraft” on the grounds of the nudist club “Die Insel”.
The writers Christian and Roman Reischl gave a review of the social part of 2023.
The fire brigade experienced sociable hours at the strong beer festival, the mudflat tournament and the Christmas party.
“As a team, we managed the barbecue and did everything ourselves,” said Christian and Roman Reischl.
The friendly fire department from Niedersulz also visited.
