An indictment was filed today (Wednesday) against Rotem Milstein, a 26-year-old resident of the north. He is accused of threats, assault, possession of a knife, trespassing and theft and more in a series of incidents, including one racist one afternoon three weeks ago.

According to the indictment, while two women from Acre were talking to each other in Arabic in the street, the young man turned to them and said: "Excuse me, what do you think you are in Gaza? Speak Hebrew. You Arabs are polluting the place."

The indictment also states that Milstein then pulled out a knife and threatened them: "One more word in Arabic and I will slaughter you."

One of them called the police, the officers arrived at the scene, but in the meantime Milstein threw the knife away and left the scene.

Just two weeks earlier, on January 11, the Jerusalem Magistrate's Court convicted Milstein for an incident that occurred about four years ago.

Then, he saw two people talking about the treatment of same-sex couples.

Milstein approached one of them, told him that he was disrespecting the Holy One, blessed be He and His Torah, began to beat him, took out a sign that expressed support for the LGBT community - and kicked him.

"There should be an attack on these gays, everyone who is gay and Arab - to the crematoria," Milstein continued.

In addition, he threatened a YSM policeman who arrived, telling him that he wanted to carry out an attack on the gays and lesbians who were protesting in the area and that he wanted to kill all the gays and Arabs because he was a racist. When the policeman informed him that he was being detained, he spat on him.

Milstein was convicted as part of a plea deal, but the judge Avihai Doron avoided sending him to prison, and only ordered the probation service to prepare a 150-hour public service program for him. He scheduled a sentencing hearing for September, seven months from now. However, less than two weeks passed, and Milstein got into trouble again. "Unstoppable," he claims Against him is lawyer Uri Adler, prosecutor of the police's coastal district, who is now simultaneously requesting the extension of the accused's detention until the end of the legal proceedings against him

.

"His wild actions show the high level of danger he poses to the entire Alma," said the lawyer. "There is no suitable alternative that will neutralize the danger." Meanwhile, his detention was extended at the Haifa Magistrate's Court.
