Nanterre applauds, Courbevoie is furious.
The new distribution of international sections in Hauts-de-Seine planned for the next school year indeed benefits one, to the detriment of the other.
Published in the official journal on February 7, the decree of January 23 establishing the list of bilingual and bicultural systems provides in particular for the gradual transfer of a British English section from Courbevoie to Nanterre.
The Maxime-Gorki elementary school in Nanterre will take over the system from the Pierre-de-Ronsard elementary school in Courbevoie by “raising cohorts”.
That is to say that students who joined the system this year (from CP to CM1) will continue their education in the same school at the start of the school year in September, but newcomers will no longer be able to enroll in CP.
