The captivating apartment of a couple in their 50s, who have 3 teenage children, is the product of a meticulous and precise design that incorporates the impressive art collection that the family brought with them when they immigrated to Israel from France: "This is a family that loves art very much and as such, the apartment I designed for them looks like a kind of exhibition A pop-up changes at any given moment," according to interior designer Nadia Roitblat from NR design studio, who believes in the impressive design.

"Moreover, the mother of the family is a woman full of French chic, a lover of colorful art, textures and fabrics, endowed with fine taste and her signature is evident in the final result."

The apartment is an upside-down duplex apartment, located in a 7-story building on one of the iconic and bustling streets of the heart of Tel Aviv.

The entrance to it is made through an entrance floor, where all the common functions are located and an exit to a private garden.

From it a staircase descends that leads to the private wing where the children's bedrooms and the parents' master are located.

"Both floors are characterized by extremely high ceilings: the height of the ground floor is 3.9 m and the room floor is close to 4.5 m - which allowed me to use the height dimension in different ways."

Roitblat explains.

"We received the apartment in a shell condition and did not make any structural changes to it, we focused on careful and precise planning of the interior that combines a variety of styles, textures and colors. In fact, there is no design line that connects the functions and the spaces, so we received an eclectic style that generates a lot of interest, just like a changing exhibition. We worked a lot With heavy, warm and European materials that allow the art to shine and stand out."

Upon opening the front door, visitors walk through a foyer, where the guest services and the staircase to the room floor are also located.

Next is the kitchen, through which you go to the living room and the dining area: "The kitchen is not particularly large because this is a family that doesn't cook often. In fact, most of what happens happens in the dining area, which serves as the center of the house and where they gather, talk, play and prepare lessons," explains the designer.

"I designed a parallel kitchen for them that consists of a tall front, in front of which is a spacious surface that also serves as a seating counter, with the two axes overlooking the garden through the large showcase."

"The front of the tall ones is made of phoenix in a matte graphite shade and in it I integrated a niche that serves as a coffee stand which I chose to cover with walnut wood. In this niche the electrical appliances are hidden and in the corner connecting the kitchen to the dining area it becomes a storage cabinet and pantry. The low front includes a wine refrigerator and the dark surfaces are made of granite."

"On another wall is a piano that is used by family members who love art and culture, and while the kitchen is designed in dark colors and with modern, clean lines, the dining area is completely different and is designed as a trap, and is organic so it gives off the feeling of sitting around a fire in the great outdoors. We created a large and full dining table for her with metal legs Above them is an amorphous walnut wood panel combined with polyester. Around it we combined chairs upholstered in velvet fabric and above it hung a lighting fixture made of linear metal tubes."

"In the living room, we created a dominant and asymmetrical wall of strength, in one part of which holy books are stored, on the other side, a narrow vertical niche for displaying art, and in the center are 4 walnut doors with plenty of storage spaces. The wood tendons connect and produce a rhombus pattern."

"The seating system includes two armchairs in a peach shade - a brave choice that continues the colorful rationale we created throughout the house and especially in the use of fabrics such as the fabric of the chairs in the kitchen in a royal blue shade. For the showcase wall from which there is an exit to the garden we chose a heavy curtain that adds French chic and consists of two shades between them and a stripe fastener that gives it a look of a skirt".

"We chose to cover the wall that borders the garden to the street with concrete-like PVC, which we carved into an asymmetric geometric pattern with LED lighting hidden inside. We covered the floor with terrazzo-like porcelain granite tiles that give the space a nostalgic look, and we combined modern style furniture made of metal and wood that adds warmth. The family members and their guests Enjoy a swimming pool, a lounge seating area with a pampering swing and a large dining area."

For the wall of the staircase, which leads to the lower level where the bedrooms are located, Roitblat created a work of art from corrugated Perspex pieces between which LED lighting was planted.

An amorphous custom-made mirror was hung in the foyer of the floor, with a perspective pattern behind it that gives it a sense of depth.

Beside her, a metal table with a terrazzo stone base and a basket with a spilled blanket were integrated.

"The basement floor includes 2 bedrooms for the three children with the two girls sharing a room where we created two levels thanks to the high ceiling. All three share a common bathroom and on this floor there is another guest toilet room and of course the parents' master which is the smallest of the rooms and is characterized by a rich line saturated with textures and textiles. The wall We covered the back of the bed with velvety wallpaper and the bed itself is also upholstered in grayish, textural velvet. In front of it is a built-in wardrobe with integral handles from which a hidden door to the bathroom is located. The couple's closet is located nearby."

"For their bathroom, we chose black and white colors: the walls were covered with black marble-like porcelain granite tiles with white veins that give the space a dramatic look, we added warmth with the help of the wooden cabinet and used bright sanitary ware, with the drain and interpoces also being white, thus creating a striking color contrast that is pleasing to the eye.

Rooms The children are surrounded by English courtyards that bring in plenty of light and air, where sitting areas and lots of plants have been integrated: "The son's room is designed in a masculine style with grayish colors, and as in the whole house, here too we meet art and wooden elements," Roitblatt explains. The wooden plate of the study table.

On the side of the closet we designed a niche where we combined books and art."

"The girls' bedroom was designed in a boho-chic style that conveys a free, light and natural look and we used beige and sand shades and a lot of fabrics and textures that contribute greatly to the calm, delicate and feminine look we wanted to create. We covered the shared bathroom of the three with concrete-like porcelain granite tiles and integrated a wooden bath cabinet , similar to the one in the parents' master. We covered the walls of the guest toilets on the first floor with wallpaper in a light brown shade with a geometric pattern in a black shade that connects to the dark sanitary ware."
