The meeting of the MDA operator with the girl whom she helped the child - 12 years ago/credit: Hadar Ben Shimol
A medic at the MDA center guided a woman over the phone during her birth 12 years ago. Recently, the daughter celebrated her Bat Mitzvah, and invited the same Moked attendant who delivered her to the event, and there they met for the first time in an emotional encounter.
12 years ago, answered Adi Rosenfeld, then a Moked attendant at Moked 101 of MDA, for a call received at the hotline.
On the other side was Shlomi, a Modi'in resident, who had to stop with his wife on the side of the road on the way to the hospital and deliver her himself.
Adi guided him, and within minutes their daughter Hila emerged into the world.
These days, Hila celebrated her Bat Mitzvah, and a witness was invited to the event, who is a medic at the MDA center. At the event, the recording of the MDA call from that day, 12 years ago, was played.
At the meeting, Adi and Hila hugged, and talked about that evening.

"I did my job, that's what I know how to do - to save lives and even if it's necessary to give birth, that's what I love, that's how it's been for 22 years," said Adi.
"Shlomi and this wonderful mother are the real heroes here. Hila - from a brief acquaintance with the parents, I am sure that no matter what you want to do, you will be able to achieve it."
