The Italian Antitrust Authority said Wednesday that it has fined British American Tobacco Italia six million euros and Amazon EU one million euros for misleading advertising of the Glo Hyper X2 and Glo Hyper Air heated-tobacco devices.
It said that, in adverts for the devises, the companies were guilty of "denying, omitting or not highlighting information regarding the consumption of tobacco/nicotine in the use of these devices and the ban on their sale to minors".
It said these adverts were on billboards and broadcast commercials on the Glo and Amazon.it websites.
