“If the vehicle ends up in the water, things can turn out completely differently,” said the rescue operations manager after the accident in Naila.
Naila - On Monday morning, February 12th, an accident occurred in Naila (Hof district).
A woman drove her car off the road for unknown reasons.
Her baby was in the vehicle.
“Thank God the car was held up by a tree just before the Selbitz, so it didn’t fall into the water,” rescue operations manager Thorsten Popp told

“If the vehicle ends up in the water, things can turn out completely differently,” Popp continued - even if the water level is not particularly high.
The woman was trapped in the vehicle but not trapped and was freed by firefighters.
The five-month-old baby was secured in the baby seat and, according to Popp, appeared to be uninjured.
To be on the safe side, she was still taken to the hospital in Hof.
