Even the police don't experience this very often: their company car was hit during a traffic stop.
An intoxicated woman was behind the wheel of the other car.
Garmisch-Partenkirchen - There are many events during carnival that make you smile: What happened to a police patrol from Garmisch-Partenkirchen on Shrove Monday certainly belongs in this category, even though the matter definitely has a serious background. The officers witnessed an accident “live” and in color – namely in their own patrol car.
A drunk driver hit the police officer's car.
Investigation proceedings as a result
Everything happened around 10:50 p.m.
The patrol noticed the car of a 56-year-old woman from the district on Kankerweg in Partenkirchen.
So they wanted to subject the driver to a routine traffic stop.
The woman also initially stopped her vehicle.
The police parked behind it.
They got out of their car and were about to go to the 56-year-old when she suddenly put the vehicle in reverse and drove slowly towards the company car.
The officers banged on the car and shouted loudly.
But it didn't help: the road user drove the rear of her car towards the front of the police vehicle at minimal speed.
There was no major damage and no injuries anyway.
But: The woman was found to be heavily intoxicated, which is now leading to an investigation.
