A motorist was killed Wednesday morning in Ris-Orangis (Essonne) by an individual on a scooter who opened fire on him at least ten times, the Evry prosecutor's office told AFP.
The events took place around 8 a.m. in this town located about twenty kilometers southeast of Paris, said the same source.
The victim died immediately on the spot.
An investigation was opened for assassination, entrusted to the interdepartmental judicial police service (SIPJ) of Essonne.
Contacted by AFP, the mayor of Ris-Orangis, Stéphane Raffalli (PS) indicated that the homicide took place on the Grigny road, near the market.
“In my memory as a local elected official, I have never had to experience a situation like this
,” he reacted.
Early Sunday evening, a 28-year-old man was killed by gunfire in Dourdan, also in Essonne.
