– A con artist posed as a fur trader in Grünwald.

An 81-year-old welcomed him into her home on Saturday around 2 p.m.

She had previously contacted the man who had given her a deposit of several hundred euros for three furs.

Engaged in discussion

According to the police report, he also showed interest in her jewelry.

He asked the Grünwald woman if she still had jewelry to sell.

She then showed him several pieces of jewelry and became involved in a discussion.

Meanwhile, the man managed to exchange the valuable jewelry for cheap costume jewelry.

According to police, the unknown man then left the house.

Only afterwards did the woman from Grünwald realize that her precious jewelry had been stolen.

Police are asking for information from witnesses

The police estimate the damage at several tens of thousands of euros.

The police department for trick theft is investigating.
