There were protests and blockades by farmers on Wednesday morning around the Greens' political Ash Wednesday in Biberach.
According to a dpa reporter, there were dozens of tractors on the access roads to the town hall, where the Greens want to meet.
A large pile of dung was dumped in front of the hall.
Loud horns and music could be heard.
Biberach - The Greens have been meeting in Biberach for years, where a lot of federal celebrities are expected again this year.
In addition to Agriculture Minister Cem Özdemir, who is considered a promising candidate to succeed Prime Minister Winfried Kretschmann, Federal Chairwoman Ricarda Lang and veteran Jürgen Trittin will take the lectern (11 a.m.).
Kretschmann is also there.
