With authorization from the judge involved in the case, Aurelio Antonio Cuello Murua, the Federal Police began an investigation and verified that
there was a property in the Arroyo Leyes commune that had an extensive plantation of "cannabis sativa"
, lighting structures and fertilizers for its cultivation. , which
several heavily armed men guarded at all hours with fixed surveillance posts.

, it is presumed that it was a screen for Nudel to deploy his criminal actions, in excess of the permission granted.
The investigation and raids
After several days of observation by the agents, the arrival of "Cachi" to his home, located on 21st Street, corner 18 A, Arroyo Leyes Community, was detected.
Following directives from prosecutor Walter Rodríguez, head of the Federal Prosecutor's Office 2 of Santa Fe, personnel from the Superintendence of Dangerous Drugs Brigade
detained him to begin the raid.
In addition, they carried out more operations in homes linked to the alleged drug leader.

Finally, at 3400 Amenábar Street, in the provincial capital, they raided another house that belonged to one of those accused of being part of the organization and who carried out tasks as a guard of the property with marijuana plantations.
Inside, two 9 millimeter caliber ammunition, three marijuana plants, 3.1 grams of buds, elements for fractioning the narcotic material and a precision scale were found.
