Highlights: Genoa Parish Priest invents "Fantabenedizioni" - News.com.au. The idea comes from Don Roberto Fiscer, a Genoese priest who founded the radio 'Fra leNote' and has a huge following on social media. He combined the traditional blessing of the homes and families of the parish with a game for the altar boys who accompany him every day in the streets of the neighbourhood. The children take turns ringing the doors of the Parishioners who, if they open and want the blessing, give away the first 2 points.

The idea comes from Don Roberto Fiscer, a Genoese priest who founded the radio 'Fra leNote' and has a huge following on social media, who combined the traditional blessing of the homes and families of the parish with a game for the altar boys who accompany him every day in the streets of the neighbourhood.

Depending on what happens during the blessing of the apartments, children earn or lose points.

"The children - explains Don Fiscer - starting from the top floor of the condominiums, take turns ringing the doors of the parishioners who, if they open and want the blessing, give away the first 2 points. The points increase if the people who open the door wear eyeglasses or alone, if they have pets or exotic animals, if there are children under 6 years old in the house or if they cough or sneeze. Other points coming if they open the door and sing or wear Genoa or Sampdoria clothing and the same bonus if they are also generous with sweets or snacks organized.

You can therefore go from a 0 if the door doesn't open to very high scores that bring you closer to victory on that day."

Points can be lost for example for "breaking some furnishings or a painting or forgetting to leave a souvenir image or dropping the holy water".

The blessings, the parish priest further explains, "are one of the most beautiful memories of when I was a child and accompanied my parish priest. Today I think it is important to let our children and young people live strong experiences of faith, a joyful faith, which is felt, which makes noise, which announces the celebration".
