A 45-year-old English skier was dragged over a distance of 200 meters and managed to free herself from the snow pile.
She suffered no injuries.
According to the slopes service, questioned by France Bleu Pays de Savoie,
“this is an avalanche of natural origin, typical of spring when the snow is wet”
.
In total, 35 rescuers from the slopes service and mountain units of the Annecy gendarmerie, accompanied by four avalanche dogs and two helicopters (Dragon 74 and Choucas Chamonix), were mobilized for this operation.
In the middle of the afternoon, the grooming machines began to clear the track.
However,
“risks remain because there remain unstable blocks
,” specifies France Bleu.
Therefore, the track is not expected to be open on Thursday.
