Republicans in the US House of Representatives on Tuesday (February 13) indicted Alejandro Mayorkas, President Joe Biden's minister for immigration, accusing him of provoking a migration crisis on the border between the United States and Mexico.
This is the first time in nearly 150 years that Congress has decided on such a sanction against a minister.
But his dismissal remains largely unlikely, given the Democratic majority in the Senate.
Joe Biden immediately denounced a political maneuver.
