Police in Ferrara on Wednesday staged a major operation to search the homes of 24 people suspected of crimes including apologia of fascism and incitement to racial hatred.
The case stems from a dinner organized by far-right extremists before Christmas that raised suspicions a criminal network may have formed.
The dinner was advertised with pamphlets that included threats to the forces of law enforcement, sources said.
At the dinner participants hailed Hitler and Nazism, the sourcessaid.
