A heart of manure in front of the entrance to the Pirellone, headquarters of the Lombardy Regional Council, and a banner with the words: 'Region and climate: toxic love'.
It is the protest organized this morning by around twenty Extinction Rebellion activists, on Valentine's Day, against "the hypocrisy of the government and the Regions on the climate crisis and destruction of ecosystems".
The Lombardy Region "has actively opposed the European directive on air pollution - the activists comment - and is one of the Regions with the highest land consumption".
An activist in front of the Pirellone also sang environmentally themed rap songs.
The participants in the demonstration ask the Lombardy Region to "guarantee small and medium-sized enterprises the possibility of eliminating emissions" and to "establish a regional citizen assembly on the topic of the Lombard agro-economic system".
