He made all the juniors at the Academy and had a chance on Coudet's team but did not play again. He now works in the afternoons in a pharmacy and trains during the day to return to the courts. His story of brotherhood with Matías Zaracho, one of Tita's jewels.

Before starting, Nicolás Muscio clarifies that he has not retired from football: "I'm looking for a team.

Two weeks ago I had everything closed with a club and it fell at the last minute

," he tells Clarín at the La Boca Pharmacy.

His name appeared when Chacho Coudet's champion Racing

pair

was shining brightly.

After the resounding appearances of Musso, Lautaro Martínez and Zaracho (two of the kids who played in that cycle), another kid from Tita arrived in the First Division, with the excitement that this generates in the fan and in the leaders who swelled the club's coffers. thanks to the mythical and inexhaustible seedbed of Sarandí.

But Muscio didn't have many opportunities.

He debuted against Tigre in the 2019 League Cup, but it was his debut and farewell.

In some way, Nicolás Muscio's family was key in the development of another of the quarry's stars.

This is Matías Zaracho.

They met in youth, "at seven years old," Nico remembers, clarifying: "At first we weren't such friends."

But later they would become family.

The thing is that Marta, Muscio's grandmother, saw the effort that the Zarachos (Aída and Juan De Dios) made to take Mati to train Tita.

Then they "adopted" him as one of their own.

And Negrito started eating at Nico's nonna's every day.

They became inseparable, they did all the inferiors together, although the paths began to diverge.

Some time later, as professionals.

El Negrito was key in Coudet's title

.

He even scored the goal that ended the Avellaneda classic and began to open the championship after that epic run by Lisandro López.

At that time, Nico watched from the audience like another fan and waited for his turn.

The chance came in the following championship in the League Cup format, against Tigre.

But he did not play again, despite the expectation generated in the fan that Zaracho would meet "his soul brother", now on the field.

Muscio had no chance again and went on loan to Temperley.

And, when he was in the Gasolero the Pandemic caught him.

In those days, with football stopped and the salaries of the footballers at risk, Muscio panicked and launched a strong defense on networks: "Ascenso players are not millionaires, nor do we have a good time."

"Many of my colleagues' contracts end in June and they don't know if they are going to renew. I see many people saying 'they should grab a shovel, dedicate themselves to something else, it's not that difficult.'

Unfortunately, at this moment it is "

It's hard to get a job

," he anticipated, as if he knew what was coming.

In those days, his friend Zaracho was going to Atlético Mineiro in exchange for

six million dollars for 50 percent of the pass.

Muscio said goodbye on Twitter with joy for the great step his friend was taking with his first transfer abroad: "

See you later brother

! Thank you for everything you gave to Racing and nothing better than being able to experience it up close for you, eternal thanks! ! Many successes".

He went through Deportivo Armenio without glory and returned to Avellaneda.

In January 2022 he broke up with the Academy

after some short circuits with the leaders who did not catch up with a debt.

He arrived at Argentinos de Quilmes with the pass in his possession and then, in 2023, he jumped to Sportivo Belgrano of Federal A where he played just 13 games until the end of last year.

It was there that he was left without a club and had to go out and find his way elsewhere.

"I managed to work in the pharmacy thanks to my daughter's maternal family, I have a very good relationship with all of them and they

opened the doors of the pharmacy for me so that I can have an income

," he told Clarín at the Rodríguez Pharmacy in La Boca. .

Far from giving up, Muscio continues training to be prepared for the first offer he receives to return to doing what he is passionate about: "

In the morning I am training and in the afternoon I am working hoping that an offer can be given and I can continue living from the football that I “It's what I love

,” he tells Clarín.

Two weeks ago, Muscio was close to returning to the fields: "15 days ago I had almost everything closed with Colegiales but it fell at the last minute, so we are waiting for something good to appear." In addition, he added: "They offered me to adapt as a hitch and well, they ended up getting a regular classic hitch.”

Muscio, a fan of the Academy since his birth, now follows the club with good memories of the past: “I have a relationship with many people from the club who always ask me how things are going.

I am also aware that at this time it is impossible to return to the club, so I take it easy that they do not communicate, but I do speak with many and I have a good relationship.”
