Klaus Berninger killed in 1990: investigations yield no results
The 16-year-old Klaus from Wörth am Main (Miltenberg district) disappeared on December 20, 1990 after visiting a youth club.
Three days later, walkers discovered his body in a forest near the small town on the border between Bavaria and Hesse.
The police have since suspected that the teenager was murdered.
According to what was known at the time, he died as a result of being hit in the neck with a sharp-edged tool.
The police in Lower Franconia had intensified their investigations since spring 2022.
