This is the third shelter since the start of 2024. Tuesday, 44 people were taken into care as part of an operation launched by the Île-de-France prefecture and the Paris prefecture, with the operational assistance of the Police prefecture, and placed in temporary reception structures.

Among the people collected “at the quays of Charente and the quays of Gironde (19th century)”, 28 were directed to Île-de-France and 16 elsewhere in France, according to the Paris prefecture.

With this third shelter operation, 195 people have been taken care of since January 1st.

The three prefectures also recall that 82 people have been referred to temporary reception structures in the region, outside Île-de-France, from camps, since the start of the year.

At the end of 2023, 430 young migrants from Belleville Park had also benefited from shelter.

But a few days later, at least forty of them had received a notification asking them to leave their accommodation within two days, on the grounds that they had not attended a summons, although "out of procedure" according to their lawyers.

They were invited to submit an application for a residence permit or asylum.

A “trap” for the lawyers who followed them, while all these young people claimed to be minors and therefore should not be the subject of such a request.
