According to an evaluation, 14 restaurants in Bavaria are among the 50 most romantic in Germany - more than in any other federal state.
Munich – candlelight, good food and maybe a glass of wine: a visit to a restaurant can be quite romantic.
It is not without reason that there is a saying: “The way to your heart is through your stomach”.
Just in time for Valentine's Day on February 14th,

, an online reservation provider, has presented the top 50 list of romantic restaurants in Germany 2024.
There are 14 restaurants in Bavaria - including six from Munich.
Franconia is also represented.
For the ranking, over 480,000 guest reviews were created between December 1, 2022 and November 30, 2023.
The company took into account restaurants with a minimum number of guest reviews, as stated in a press release.
The list was then created based on various factors such as the score and the percentage of reviews with the keyword “romantic”.
Pure romance in the bars of the Bavarian capital
Munich scores well in the top 50 list: according to Opentable's evaluation, six restaurants are among the most romantic restaurants in Germany.
For example, the well-known “Ratskeller” – centrally located on Marienplatz – makes it into the ranking.
Also represented are:
Aimy Restaurant (Southeast Asian food)
Azuki (Japanese and Vietnamese)
La Bohème (from steaks to vegetarian dishes)
Little London Bar & Grill (Steakhouse)
Restaurant 181 (upscale international cuisine)

Three of the fifty most romantic restaurants are in Franconian cities
People in Franconia should be happy about the ranking: in Würzburg, two restaurants are among the most romantic in Germany - the “Backöfele” and “Brauerei Fasthof Alter Kranen”.
And Nuremberg also made it into the top 50 with the “Wirtshaus am Opernhaus”.

Smaller towns are also represented with restaurants, such as “El Greco” in Neusäß, Swabia, the “Restaurant Vierwasser” in Fürstenfeldbruck, “Bell's Steakhouse & Burger Aschheim GmbH” in Aschheim, “FISCHER” in Stegen and the “Gasthaus Spitzer” in Au in the Hallterau.
