Until just over three years ago, Inés Hernand (Madrid, 31 years old) practiced law in a law firm with a salary that barely allowed her to make ends meet.
Her videos on social media of her explaining her legal terms in a simple and sarcastic way made her a reference for Generation Z and gave her thousands of followers.
Since 2020, RTVE Play has had the comedian to collaborate in its youth formats.
Her jump to the digital platform of the public entity was the moment in which the Madrid native stopped belonging to that enormous mass of Spanish twenty-somethings in a state of precariousness, to whom she continues to give voice in many of her public interventions.
With a sense of comedy bathed in acid irony and love for the absurd, his forms have become the target of criticism inside and outside of RTVE, although the most innovative wing of public radio and television defends Hernand's work in the entertainment area. of the public entity, almost always framed in humorous and non-informative content.
His most recent controversy was born on Saturday night, during the broadcast on the Goya pink carpet for RTVE Play.

“You are an icon, president, we love you!” He ironically snapped at Pedro Sánchez at one point during the connection.
The attitude of the communicator, who also used bad words and even belched in front of the TVE microphone, caused complaints on networks and within the corporation.
“The flattering tone towards the President of the Government has no place on public radio and television,” the RTVE News Council noted in a statement on Monday morning.
Hernand explains to EL PAÍS this Tuesday that his content is “far from any informative tone or journalistic prism” and that he tries to offer “a plural vision” within RTVE as he has done on previous occasions, for example, on the recent red carpet at the Grammy.
The communicator says that she feels that she has long been "the scapegoat for various reasons" in internal wars and ideological struggles within RTVE.
The comedian understands that she has “a profile and a defined political positioning,” so any interaction with Sánchez will upset the conservative sector.
Although he defends that “every debate is welcome, because the opposite is a dictatorship,” he regrets that it has moved to social networks and that TVE news professionals “have endorsed a video clip taken from several hours of live broadcast and "That's out of context."
Both Hernand and Pedro Sánchez himself took to the networks to explain with a compilation video that referring to the president as an “icon” was one of the recurring jokes that the comedian made throughout the broadcast and that, in this case, it was not about an ideological significance of the comic.
In fact, she dedicated the term to almost all the guests at the ceremony with whom she spoke, regardless of their position, profession and political affiliation.

Covert ideological conflicts
Many of RTVE's internal bodies, such as its Board of Directors, are made up of representatives of the two major Spanish parties, PP and PSOE, so many of its conflicts arise in a context of ideological confrontation.
At the end of last week, another internal controversy arose on the networks around one of RTVE's contents.
Montserrat Boix, her Equality delegate, announced in her X account her resignation from her work, assigned to the General Secretariat of RTVE.
According to her public statements, she had made the decision after the selection of
Zorra
, by Nebulossa, as Spain's representative in Eurovision.
Sources close to the public entity confirmed to EL PAÍS that same day that her departure from her position had already been scheduled in advance.
That is why they considered that, in their particular opinion (which is not the official position of RTVE), this public resignation was “a way of creating an artificial controversy” by someone who has been against the trans law of the Pedro Sánchez Government.
Nebulossa's song, which includes in its music video a nod to the trans activist Manuela Trasobares and defends a message of tolerance, was announced as a finalist for the Benidorm Fest 2024 last December, which is why the public entity has been advertising it for some time. three months, without Boix resigning until this Friday.
