For Markus Söder, another region is ahead when it comes to carnival.
Allersberg - Markus Söder regularly dedicates posts on Instagram to more than just his food.
He also praises volunteer work from time to time, such as the “Goal for Kids” association, from which he received a “very well-considered gift”.
Now he is turning his attention to the Allersberg Carnival Committee.
Markus Söder himself also loves swapping his suit for a costume at carnival.
For carnival in Franconia in 2024 he dressed up as Otto von Bismarck.

Markus Söder is happy about a “special award”
The club is celebrating its 55th anniversary.
He was awarded the golden cup by the Franconian carnival association president and previous award winner Marco Anderlik, writes Söder in the post on Instagram.
He is the second politician after Barbara Stamm and is therefore very pleased “about this special award.”

Carnival lives from volunteering and youth work," the CSU boss continues, adding: "PS: For me, the Franconian Carnival is by far the absolute number 1 in Germany." In the carnival strongholds, such as Cologne, Düsseldorf or Mainz, one might have a different opinion.
