Her fate has touched thousands of readers.

Now there is news about Petra Müller that gives hope: a new report could finally help her.

Wolfratshausen - Her fate and the helplessness of the helpers touched many people: Petra Müller lives on the street in Wolfratshausen.

The woman is mentally ill and obviously in need of help.

Every day the woman huddled in the cold in the old town, often without shoes and usually only wearing a thin fabric jacket.

However, all attempts to help her failed, as reported.

Now the human drama may have found a happy ending: As Ines Lobenstein from Caritas Homeless Aid reported on Wednesday afternoon, Petra Müller (name changed) is on the way to Agatharied.

In the clinic she should finally get the help she needs.

Müller has been there before - but only for a few days.

Then she was released back into homelessness.

But the situation today is different.

“This case is special”: Homeless representative touched by Müller’s fate

Ines Lobenstein has been working as a homeless representative for many years.

“But this case is special,” she says, adding that Müller has a “particularly blatant fate.”

You can hear the relief in Lobenstein's voice when she reports that Petra Müller's future has been clarified.

Because “through a really great collaboration between the police, experts and judges,” it was possible to create a report for the homeless woman.

That only leads to one conclusion: Müller needs to be treated in a clinic.

This time it is not a provisional decision.

“It has a different weight,” confirms Lobenstein.

A homeless person in Upper Bavaria suffers from delusions - and for a long time no one could help her

Müller comes from North Rhine-Westphalia.

She ran away from there because she suffered from paranoia.

She had the delusion that she wanted to poison someone in her apartment.

She appeared in Wolfratshausen in late autumn - and has been living on the streets ever since.

“A lot of people asked about her,” explains Lobenstein.

What makes the Caritas employee happy: “Nobody complained.

They were honest, concerned questions and offers of help.” But only experts could really help the confused woman.

The people who tried to help Müller were insulted or pushed away by the woman.

Petra Müller on the way to psychiatric treatment - new report finally gives hope

“How many people wanted to help in this case and some did so showed me once again what Wolfratshausen is capable of,” says Lobenstein.

The homeless representative worked extremely hard for Müller.

“Collaboration made it possible,” she says modestly.
