Kansas City – On Sunday (February 11th), the Kansas City Chiefs were crowned Super Bowl winners for the fourth time.
The triumph was supposed to be celebrated with a big parade with fans, but a terrible incident overshadowed the event.
Shots were fired on the sidelines of the celebration on Wednesday (February 14th).

Several people were shot in the city of Kansas City, Missouri, the police said on X, formerly Twitter.
According to media reports, at least one person died after shots were fired on the sidelines of a parade honoring the Kansas City Chiefs football team.

that eight to 10 people were injured.
Some of them are already being treated in hospitals.
At least three of the injured are in critical condition.
Police said two armed suspects were arrested.
No further details were initially known about the alleged perpetrators and victims.

Police asked “all persons in the area” to leave the area “as quickly and safely as possible to facilitate treatment of the shooting victims.”
TV images showed how the event site was evacuated.
In a video shared on platform X, armed police officers can be seen running towards the train station.
According to police, the shots were fired near the train station near a parking garage in Kansas City, Missouri.
It was unclear whether the crime was connected to the victory parade.
There is still no information about the motive for the crime.

The team around star quarterback Patrick Mahomes was loudly cheered by tens of thousands of fans along a 3.22 kilometer route through the city.
Players and coaches traveled in a red double-decker bus.
