The airport therefore uploaded photos of the plane to its Facebook page.
Nuremberg – Nuremberg Airport regularly receives visits from special aircraft of all kinds, which are particularly interesting for plane spotters.
Last summer, for example, a Bell Boeing V 22 Osprey landed.
This is a so-called tiltrotor aircraft, which is half airplane and half helicopter.
Now a special aircraft has appeared again on the runway at Nuremberg Airport.
A US Air Force aircraft.
The airport posted two photos of the special aircraft – a Boeing KC-135T – on its Facebook page.
The machine is completely gray, has no side windows and is equipped with four engines.
The airport also wrote about the photos: “Special traffic in Nuremberg.” Over 1,000 people liked the post and 259 users commented on it.

According to the Bundeswehr, this aircraft type has been “the core of the US Air Force’s aerial refueling capability” for more than 60 years.
The machine is used to refuel other aircraft from the Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps and allied nations in the air.
It is also used to transport troops and cargo as well as for air medical evacuations.
