and tolls
will suffer
sharp increases
starting in April.
This is clear from the decrees published in the Official Gazette, which call for mandatory public hearings for March 15, when the increases for both services managed by the City Government will be discussed.
With the increases,
each subway trip will cost $574
, while trips along the 25 de Mayo and Perito Moreno highways will cost
$2,276 during rush hour
.
A second tranche of increases will take place in May.
The tariff for Buenos Aires services will be stronger on the subway, which will have a 359% increase in the first instance;
and
then will rise again in May to $667 per trip
.
As for tolls, the second tranche of the increase will take each pass during peak hours to $3,072.71.
The subway suffered
two increases in January and February
.
In fact, the current rate, $125, came into effect just
ten days
ago .
After the bus ticket increase to $270 last week, underground trips became outdated.
But the gap will be corrected, and also widened, from April.

, official sources explained that the calculation of the
technical rate
to apply the latest increase, which is the real value of what each trip costs per user, had been done with figures from July of last year and did not take into account the inflation of the last semester.
Now, they reported, the same account was made based on
December numbers

The technical rate reflects the real cost of operating the service and is obtained from the quotient between said costs and the number of paid passengers.

The difference between what passengers pay and the cost of each user is obtained from the subsidy provided by the Buenos Aires Government.
After the pandemic, the number of subway users remains at 70% of the number of users before March 2020, when traffic restrictions began to take effect.
And in the first week of the increase in buses, as Clarín learned, there was no transfer of users from one means of transportation to another due to the difference in ticket values.
The second section of the subway increase will take effect in May, as reported in the Official Gazette.
From the fifth month of the year each trip will cost $667, 443.6% more than now.
The City also explained that, due to the national government's decision to increase bus and train tickets in accordance with inflation every two months, the gap will not be so wide.
Although there is no official confirmation,
the minimum for groups will go to around $380 in April, since it would add the inflation of February and March,

The high rate also reaches the Premetro, which will begin to cost $200.90 in April and 233.45 starting in May.
At the same time, the decree published this Wednesday maintains subscriptions and discounts for students, retirees and transplant recipients.
And the benefits system for frequent passengers, which implies a reduction in the fare starting on trip number 21. The SUBE Network also governs, for which 50% of the value of the second trip and 25% of the third are paid, always that begin within two hours of starting the first journey.
On the other hand, the publication of the Buenos Aires Official Gazette clarifies that the cost of the subway, starting in April, will be higher for those users who do not have a registered SUBE card.
