Then and now: The “Finsinger catchy tune” has changed visually.

In terms of content, the SPD and non-party Finsing still want to “attentively, critically and constructively shed light on the corners and edges of Finsing’s community politics,” as Josef Eichinger writes in the “Reloaded” edition (r.).

The SPD and party-free Finsing are republishing the critical news magazine “Finsinger Ohrwurm”.

There are enough topics for the next issue.

Eicherloh - It should tweak a bit and illuminate local political issues "attentively, critically and constructively": the "Finsinger Ohrwurm", the news magazine of the SPD local association and its friends.

More than 50 years after the first edition, another “catchy tune” was released in 2023 – and it shouldn’t remain a flash in the pan.

The “catchy tune” hatched on December 6, 1972 with the first issue, which was published on typewriters and self-published.

Local planning in Finsing was an issue, as was a traffic light for Neufinsing and garbage collection.

The federal election results were also hand-drawn.

“We want to report on what’s happening in the community.

The critical information is important to us,” it said.

Nothing has changed over the decades.

The articles appeared at irregular intervals until the “catchy tune” died down in 2007.

It was woken up again in October last year under the motto “Earworm reloaded”.

“That was a super successful story,” summed up local association chairman Josef Eichinger at the annual general meeting in the Faltermaier inn in Eicherloh.

Published by the SPD and party-free Finsing, the topics included municipal heat planning and the parking situation in the commercial area.

The four-page booklet, which was last distributed in a circulation of around 2,300 copies, is scheduled to appear again this year.

For this purpose, the first topics were collected at the meeting of the SPD and independent parties, which followed the annual general meeting: the financial resources of the municipality, district and district with a view to the district levy, the possibilities of increasing living space, the loss-making retirement home, subsidies for the clubs.

Eichinger also looked back on last year's events.

Many of them are on the agenda again this year: the New Year's fire has already taken place, the Ramadama together with the fishing youth is planned for April 13th.

They also want to repeat the cross-party cultural evening “Finsing is colorful” – in what form and when has not yet been decided.

The topics of wind energy, heat planning and accessibility of community centers were also addressed.

So last year the idea of applying for the purchase of a so-called stair climber came to fruition.

That has now happened (we reported).

It remains to be seen whether the purchase will be approved.

A citizen therefore suggested creating an incentive for the community to purchase such projects by financing part of the costs through donations.

Charity events or street festivals were mentioned as possibilities, as were private donors and cooperation with associations.

Together with the SPD in Neuching and Ottenhofen, MP Andreas Mehltretter was invited.

Eichinger also addressed the statement on the conviction of AfD local councilor Peter Junker for incitement to hatred.

As reported, the group took a clear position on this, “and that had an impact,” said the chairman: “We received a lot of positive feedback from the citizens.”

Another topic at the meeting was the community solar system on the roof of the school.

An application has been made for the system to be used for the school's own electrical energy needs after the EEG funding has expired.

“It seems to be getting going now,” said Eichinger.

In her report, treasurer Karin Becker explained that the local association, which has 13 members, currently has just over 800 euros in the account.

The largest expenses last year included almost 270 euros, which were mainly spent on the homepage.

“I'm surprised that the website costs so much,” Eichinger admitted in view of this figure and advocated changing provider in order to save some money.
