If the Ukrainian armed forces destroyed the Russian landing ship Tsezar Kunikov off the coast of Crimea, Russia is intensifying its

The announcement by the Ukrainian army of the destruction, this Wednesday, of a Russian warship, the Tsezar Kunikov off the south of Crimea, a Ukrainian peninsula in the Black Sea annexed by Russia in 2014, is certainly an act of notable war if this information is independently confirmed.

Information that Moscow has not confirmed.

The Kremlin, however, acknowledged that six drones were shot down in this region.

According to the Ukrainian Military Intelligence Department (GUR), this vessel was allegedly sunk by Ukrainian naval drones, Magura V5, to hit the boat near the coastal town of Alupka and cause "critical holes" in its left side after whereupon the boat “began to sink”.

According to the GUR, it is one of the “newest” Russian vessels capable of accommodating 87 crew members and which had been used by Russia in its wars against Georgia in 2008 and in Syria more recently.

But in reality the situation remains very difficult for Ukraine to cope with.

The new commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian armies, Oleksandr Syrsky, announced this Wednesday that he had visited the hottest areas of the Eastern Front with the Minister of Defense, Roustem Umerov.

And his observation is not reassuring, since he judges the situation on the ground to be “extremely complex and tense”.

“The Russian occupiers continue to increase their efforts and outnumber” the Ukrainian forces, he said on Telegram.

At the same time, Ukraine is struggling to replenish the ranks of its army after its counter-offensive which was not crowned with success.

Added to this is the fact that the American military aid that the country needs to face the Russians remains blocked.

“We are doing everything possible to prevent the enemy from advancing on our territory and to hold our positions,” he added, assuring: “We are taking all possible measures to minimize our losses and save the lives of our soldiers.

New Russian bombings

At the same time, Russia continues its enterprise of destruction and undermining.

Three people were killed and twelve injured overnight from Tuesday to Wednesday during Russian bombings against Selydove near Donetsk in eastern Ukraine, according to local authorities.

These strikes hit nine apartment buildings as well as the hospital in this town, located about twenty kilometers west of the front, the municipal council said on Telegram.

A child was among those killed, and four among the injured, according to the same source.

According to the governor of the Donetsk region, Vadym Filachkin, a first strike took place around 11:30 p.m. (local time) and a second around 1 a.m.

Around 100 patients from the damaged hospital were evacuated to other hospitals in Pokrovsk and Myrnograd, he added on Telegram.

As of Tuesday, Russian forces had shelled eight villages in the Sumy region 331 times.

Explosions caused by mortars, artillery, tank, kamikaze drones and other munitions.

For its part, Ukraine is still trying to reach Russian territory with drones.

According to Moscow, two Ukrainian drones were intercepted overnight from Wednesday to Thursday by Russian air defense over the Belgorod region where a woman was injured near the border with Ukraine, another over Voronezh and six others over the Black Sea, according to the Russian Defense Ministry cited by the Ria Novosti agency.
