Around 70 farmers showed their colors and made their voices heard at the SPD sub-district's Political Ash Wednesday in the town hall.
The Olching Bundestag member Michael Schrodi explained, among other things, that a new package of offers should be presented to the farmers' associations in Berlin.
Germering - Farmers nationwide are fighting against the federal government's austerity decisions.
Among other things, they want to reverse the end of subsidized agricultural diesel.
Some of the protests have gotten out of hand.
In Biberach, Swabia, the Green Party's political Ash Wednesday had to be canceled because of this.
Not so in Germering.
ask questions
District chairman Matthias Heitmayr and his deputy Ferdinand Wenig had already promised in advance that the event would not be disrupted.
Heitmayr explained in the interview that this would not be done out of respect for the former state parliament member Kathrin Sonnenholzner: “She always stood up for us fairly.” However, after the speeches by Sonnenholzner and Schrodi, they would take the opportunity to ask questions.
A wide variety of banners were attached to the farmers' tractors.

The around 70 farmers, some of whom came from all over the district on tractors, adhered to this without exception.
Only a few had found space in the already full Lena Christ Hall; the majority of them waited disciplinedly in the corridor in front of the open door for around an hour and a half for the discussion.
Farmer vice-president Wenig was incredibly proud of his professional colleagues afterwards.
SPD members on the farmers' side
In the question and answer session, Heitmayr complained that farmers had the feeling that the traffic light government didn't like them.
Schrodi couldn't understand this: "That's wrong." But then he was drawn into a discussion by Puchheim organic farmer Georg Huber, in which SPD members also took the farmers' side.
Huber had conclusively explained that the discontinuation of agricultural diesel would affect him and his small business more than it would for large businesses - Schrodi had claimed the opposite based on studies.
The SPD local chairwoman Gertrud Merkert, who was present, warned that one should listen to the practical experiences of farmers.
Schrodi did not withdraw his assessment.
However, he announced further discussions on the topic with local farmers.
Negotiations will also continue in Berlin.
The government will think about a package of measures and talk to the farmers' associations about it.
Farmers' deputy Ferdinand Wenig was confident about this.
In any case, his conclusion was positive: “It was a very good event.”
