It’s the return of the French’s “best” friend.
Emiliano Martinez, goalkeeper of Argentina, 2022 world champion ahead of France, would like to participate in the Olympic Games in Paris next summer.
It was the main person who implied this in an interview with DSports.
“If there is something I miss in the national team, it is winning the Olympic Games,” explained the man who also won the Copa Libertadores in 2021 with the Albiceleste.
A declaration which follows the qualification of the national hopeful team for the Olympic tournament of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games next summer thanks to its success against Brazil, Sunday evening (1-0).
“I watched the final (of the Pre-Olympics), I liked the team,” added the Aston Villa goalkeeper.
Messi and Di Maria already invited
The names of Lionel Messi and Angel Di Maria were also mentioned earlier in the week by coach Javier Mascherano.
“Everyone knows my relationship with Leo, the friendship that unites me with him.
A player like him has the doors open to join us, then it will depend on him and his commitments, obviously, explained the former FC Barcelona midfielder.
They (with Di Maria) have the right to decide what they want, but obviously we will try to invite them and we will see.

The contribution of Dibu Martinez would not be negligible either, the Albiceleste hopeful team not having a goalkeeper with references at the highest level.
