An 18-year-old wanted to steal food worth almost 10 euros from a hypermarket in Petershausen.

But that goes terribly wrong.

Petershausen - An 18-year-old from Augsburg walked into a hypermarket on Mitterfeldstrasse in Petershausen last Tuesday around 1 p.m. and took various groceries worth almost 10 euros.

But then he wanted to leave the store without paying.

But he had made the calculation without an attentive employee.

He spoke to the Augsburg resident.

The future shoplifter was obviously frightened.

He fled, leaving behind not only his loot but also personal belongings.

However, in the evening of the same day, the 18-year-old reported to the Dachau police station and inquired about the whereabouts of his belongings.

He ultimately admitted to the theft.
