“We spent months looking for a place like this.
The opening of the Foodlab in Beauvais is decisive in the development of our activity.
» Rémy Degrolard and Mélissa Bertin know the city well.
They did their higher education at UniLaSalle University, a stone's throw from the Foodlab.
At the head of the start-up Bellycare, they specialize in the creation and production of ready-made meals “to reduce digestive disorders, particularly irritable bowel”.
They are the first users of the equipment, which opened in December.
But where does this Foodlab come from?
“It was born from the association between the Technical Center for the Conservation of Agricultural Products (CTCPA) and UniLaSalle, the union between one of the best specialized higher education schools and the leading technical center for food conservation post-culture, processing and conservation of finished products, says Nicolas Marissalle, who manages the Foodlab for both structures.
It is an educational tool for research and development and production in the agri-food sector.
