A 44-year-old man from Vaterstetten now had to answer before the Ebersberg district court.

The reason: He is said to have sexually harassed his driving student.

Ebersberg/Vaterstetten – Because he is said to have sexually harassed and coerced his student driver several times, a 44-year-old man from Vaterstetten now found himself in front of the Ebersberg district court.

During a driving lesson: a man (44) is said to have touched his student's thigh

According to the indictment, the man sought physical contact with his then 16-year-old driving student for the first time during a practical driving lesson in November 2017.

The defendant is said to have stroked the girl's thigh with his hand in order to "sexually arouse himself," according to the public prosecutor's office.

During a night drive a few days later, the defendant is said to have led the girl to a parking lot near Zorneding.

There he is said to have asked the 16-year-old to choose a bush “behind which both of them could disappear”.

When the girl didn't comply with the now 44-year-old's request, the father from Vaterstetten is said to have opened the driver's door in a rage and put his driving student in a headlock.

Former driving instructor appears affected and rejects allegations

The former driving instructor appeared concerned in court and vehemently rejected the allegations.

“I never touched her,” he insisted after his lawyer asked for a legal meeting with the public prosecutor and judge Julia Ströhlein.

After a half-hour break, the man explained his point of view: During the driving lesson, the 16-year-old took a wrong turn, which is why the defendant asked her to turn around at the next opportunity.

“Then she drove into a forbidden residential street,” the man explained.

The girl probably wanted to turn around in a parking lot.

“I told her to stop in front of a bush, get out and look at the sign again.” However, when asked several times by the judge, the man then admitted that he had made a suggestive remark: “You’re nice, you’re sweet, "You're pretty, but we can't afford that on the day of the exam," the father from Vaterstetten admitted to having said to the girl.

The court imposes a fine of 3,600 euros on Vaterstetten

There is said to have been no physical contact.

Accordingly, the defendant was surprised when the advert came to his house shortly afterwards.

“This is so hurtful,” he said in court.

Immediately after the allegations became known, the man had to give up his driving school - his license was revoked by the district office.

Since then, the Vaterstetten native has been working as a laboratory driver.

“It took my life away.

I enjoyed doing the work.

Now I can’t do it anymore,” he said as a tear rolled down his cheek.

These allegations have been bothering him for six years now.

“It takes away your strength.”

In order to spare the former driving student who was invited as a witness from having to testify, Judge Ströhlein interrupted the hearing again for a legal discussion.

This time, however, the defense agreed to a deal.

“The court sees guilt,” the judge then announced to the 44-year-old from Vaterstetten and imposed a fine of 3,600 euros on the man for the benefit of the Munich women's shelter.
