In preparation for the 2024/25 double budget, the Main and Finance Committee prioritized projects in a joint meeting with the Planning and Construction Committee.
While the ice rink and athletes' house on the Lände are sliding backwards, the aim is to move the building yard from the Lände to Landsberger Straße.

The treasury has divided the many desired and mandatory projects into three categories: A are the projects that are already underway and are of utmost importance, B are the less important ones and C are those that now have to wait longer.
The conversion of street lighting to LED could certainly be stretched over several years or postponed entirely, explained treasurer Marcus Eckert.
But then savings are foregone and it is unclear how the funding will continue.
Housing project
He also advised against foregoing the housing project with the district company at the forest cemetery.
Because here, too, funding is included that could possibly be eliminated.
In addition to these two and all the projects that have already begun, there is realistically room for another major project: Here the committee is clearly favoring the relocation of the building yard.
Only after the move can the area on the land be developed for urban development.
The plans for the Aich and Puch kindergarten are in category C. Project development is underway here, for which there is a separate budget.
The sports center on the land will not be able to be built in the near future.
The plan is to initially house the Fursty Razorbacks in containers.
Indoor pool and ampere oasis
The topic of building a new indoor swimming pool and ampere oasis also falls into category C. Götz did not want to let go of the fact that empty promises had been made during the election campaign.
“The money for the technology bar is gone because we are not building a new indoor swimming pool.” Karin Geißler (BBV) interjected that at least the location issue needs to be clarified in the meantime.
Because the municipal utilities would put a lot of money into the maintenance of the bathroom.

The main and finance committees as well as the planning and construction committees confirmed the prioritization with five votes each.
Some city councilors would have liked to go into more detail.
But this should happen during the discussion about the investment program as part of the budget deliberations.
Götz sees the decision as a pointer for the local authority supervisory authority: “We are signaling that with the new construction of the building yard we are pushing ahead with a major project and not anything else.”
