Las Vegas – For most Americans, the Super Bowl is the event of the year – and many Germans are also excited about the NFL finale.
The Kansas City Chiefs narrowly won in overtime against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday (February 11).
VIPs didn't miss the spectacle either, most of whom arrived in private jets.
Shortly after the end of the game, the engines at the three airports in Las Vegas were started up.

What is striking is that 81 of the jets, or 15 percent, took a one-hour flight to the Los Angeles area.
That's a straight line of 361 kilometers and a driving distance of 427 kilometers.
So it's a route that can also be covered by car.
According to the German classification of the Federal Statistical Office, all flights under 1,000 kilometers are short-haul flights that should be avoided from an environmental perspective.
In addition, these are private jets, which are already doing above-average damage to the climate.
This is due to the relatively high per capita CO₂ emissions of passengers.
Business jet flights: Shortest flight after the Super Bowl was under half an hour
At airports in and near New York City, 33 flights were recorded, with a flight duration of about six hours, according to the portal.
30 business jet flights went to Miami, Florida.
But the other two destinations in the top five are also short-haul flights: San Diego and San José in California.
The shortest flight that took off after the Super Bowl headed to Kingman - a flight of just 29 minutes.
The longest flight, however, was to Ishigaki in southern Japan.
This took all of 13 hours and 20 minutes.
On average, the private jets traveled for two hours and flew to 173 airports in nine countries.
Singer Taylor Swift also traveled on a private jet.

Even before the Super Bowl, a private jet flight caused controversy.
Singer Taylor Swift flew around 9,000 kilometers after a performance in distant Japan to support her friend Chiefs star Travis Kelce at the stadium.
According to an analysis by a Reddit user, the singer apparently emitted 6,889 kilograms of CO₂.
According to the Federal Environment Agency, that is as much as the average German emits in seven months.
Super Bowl 2024: Most-watched program in US history
It wasn't just the stadium that attracted many enthusiasts.
Around 202.4 million TV viewers in the USA did not miss the Super Bowl spectacle, according to broadcasters Nielsen and CBS.
This made it the most-watched program in US history.
