For the first Guest Foodist of the year we asked you to send us your best recipes with rice.
That's how it has been;
During the week in which the deadline to participate in the contest was open, we have received rice of all kinds: with vegetables, with different meats, with seafood, Italian style, Spanish style, grandmother's recipes... A generous culinary medley for which we only have affectionate words of gratitude.
Although making decisions is not always easy, we finally named participant Luis Rodríguez's recipe for creamy artichoke rice as the winner.
It has not only been our love for artichokes that has led us to proclaim them as such, but also their delicious creamy appearance and the total use of this vegetable.
As a prize, the winner will be able to enjoy a super batch of products from our beloved Petra Mora store valued at 186 euros.
This pack consists of 26 different products, including its extra virgin olive oil, its creamy cheese, its candied piquillo peppers or the Rioja Rosalba red wine.
And also other foods from Petra Mora's own livestock, such as beef entrecôte.

Luis, taking as starting points the waste, the discards and the popular reuse cuisine, tells us how he created his dish: “from these three definitions I have made a creamy rice based on the artichoke trimmings, giving them a second life. , resulting in an elegant cereal and artichoke flavor.”
“It can be enriched by adding some clams or razor clams, which we will open separately and place on top of the rice once it is cooked,” he explains to conclude his recipe.
