The government is committed to reducing the
"administrative burden"
accompanying MaPrimeRénov' files for assistance with energy renovation, the Ministry of Ecological Transition announced this Thursday.
Ministers Christophe Béchu (Ecological Transition) and Guillaume Kasbarian (Housing) met on Thursday morning with the presidents of the two main professional building organizations, Olivier Salleron, president of the French Building Federation, and Jean-Christophe Repon, head of the Confederation of crafts and small construction companies.
The participants in this meeting
“unanimously alerted to an energy renovation process now involving too much administrative burden
,” says the ministry in a press release.
They agreed on three changes: limiting
“to the highest subsidies”
the
“obligations to use an approved guide”
,
“simplifying the label recognized as guarantor of the environment (RGE, which professionals must obtain to intervene on projects financed by MaPrimeRénov', Editor's note), particularly for small and medium-sized businesses"
, and
"lift financing restrictions concerning simple and effective renovation actions"
.

Refocus the system on large-scale renovations
This third axis concerns in particular changes in heating methods, such as the replacement of an oil or gas boiler with a pellet stove or a heat pump, which are more efficient and emit less greenhouse gases, a- was clarified in the minister's entourage.
It will also allow owners of housing with energy label G, which can no longer be rented from January 1, 2025, to start improving the performance of their property.
The objective is to
“ensure that the renovation process is an incentive for large-scale renovations”
, but
“that it can continue when there are simple and effective actions”
, the ministry was told. .
In 2024, the government wanted to refocus MaPrimeRénov' on
"large-scale" renovations, heavier and more expensive but much more effective, to the detriment of
"step-by-step"
renovation
, which is more partial.
These announcements will be made clear
“at the beginning of March”
, indicates the ministry.
