A crutch, a metal bar, a fireworks mortar, a baton, a broomstick… The known array of brawls between rival gangs in Essonne was seized by the police on Wednesday February 14 in Viry-Chatillon.
At the same time, 17 teenagers were arrested.
It was around 7 p.m. on Wednesday that a report reached the ears of the authorities.
A group of young people are said to have left (on foot) Grigny towards the neighboring town.
The group was intercepted near Avenue de Flandre, in Viry-Chatillon.
Seventeen minors are arrested by officials.
Many carry weapons.

Fifteen of them are taken into custody.
They are between 14 and 17 years old.
The two youngest in the group, who are under 13 years old, are released with a subsequent summons.
A return match?
The first investigations by the Juvisy-sur-Orge police show that the group was trying to go to the Cilof district, in Viry.
The reason ?
One of them was recently attacked by the Cilof gang.
Wednesday's descent would therefore constitute a possible vengeful "return match", as is usually the case on the sidelines of brawls.

An investigation for “participation in a group with the aim of committing violence or damage” has been opened.
The video surveillance images will be used by the Essonne police officers.
