Israel Katz with Argentinian President Javier Maili/Foreign Ministry Spokesperson
Foreign Minister Israel Katz will take off this evening (Thursday) for Germany, where he will deliver a major speech at the Munich Security Conference tomorrow. The Foreign Ministry statement stated that in his words, Katz will emphasize "Israel's right to self-defense until the goals of the war are achieved", and he will say "this Not only our war, but that of the entire free world against radical Islam and the axis of evil led by Iran."
In addition, Katz will fiercely attack the phenomenon of anti-Semitism and incitement against the Jews and the State of Israel, and will demand that all governments act firmly against the phenomenon. During the conference, Katz will reveal a special pamphlet prepared by the Foreign Ministry that incriminates UNRA for being involved in the terrorist activities of Hamas and will demand from the international community not to act through UNRA, but through alternative bodies. During his visit, Katz will meet the German Vice Chancellor, Robert Habakkuk, and other leaders.

The announcement reveals that Katz has so far avoided visiting Germany, due to the fact that his parents, Meir and the late Malka Katz, survived the horrors of the Holocaust. He shared: "All my life I have not been able to set foot on German soil.
I grew up in a house of holocaust survivors.
My late mother Malka survived seven camps, and marched on the death march. My late father jumped off the train in Budapest and was captured.
I could not bear the thought that the destroyers of my people came from this earth.
But precisely now, at this time, I see the importance of loosening my oath and going to the security conference in Munich.
I will do everything for Israel's security, securing our future and returning the abducted."
