The city of Freising will comply with the ÖDP's request and provide more mobile home parking spaces.
The planning committee decided this.

- The ÖDP had already applied for more parking spaces for mobile homes to be built in October 2022.
The reason given was that there were only three designated parking spaces for mobile homes in the city, where the parking duration was limited to 24 hours and there was no lighting.
If necessary, travelers heading to Freising would have to switch to Pfaffenhofen or Erding, which offer significantly better care.
According to the ÖDP's argument, an expansion of the offer would be accompanied by a promotion of tourism.
The administration examined the offers in the region and examined the possible implementation options in the Freising city area.
Result: A slight expansion of the offer was supported.
Since the offer should continue to be free of charge, it was suggested that no further service be offered at the parking spaces.
On the one hand, the tourism office was in favor of extending the waiting times from the current 24 hours to two days.
On the other hand, there will be a slight expansion of the existing parking spaces in the gravel parking lot at Freising train station - still free of charge and therefore without infrastructure such as electricity or water.
A change in the signage is enough here.
No lighting
Lighting should be avoided because the costs are considered disproportionate.
In order to be able to expand the offer at short notice without major construction effort, it was also proposed to convert twelve existing car parking spaces in the Savoyer Au parking lot into three parking spaces for mobile homes - also free of charge, i.e. without electricity and without water.
The result: a short-term improvement in the offer from three to eight parking spaces in Freising and a doubling of the parking duration.
New parking spaces
In the medium term, ten to twelve paid parking spaces for mobile homes with appropriate infrastructure (electricity, water supply and disposal) will be created as a western extension of the parking lot in the Savoyard Au.
An expansion of the parking lot was planned at this point in the 1980s, but was not implemented.
Using part of this area for mobile homes was considered a sensible addition to the city of Freising's tourist offerings.
