New hosts have been found for the SC Schöngeising clubhouse: the Italian Norberto Migliorati and his Chinese wife Lu have been cooking there since the beginning of February.

Schöngeising – Open on two evenings, also on Sundays and by appointment for private parties.

Norberto Migliorati has been working in the catering industry for 35 years, he has worked in various sectors and restaurants.

While looking for a small, family business, the father of two daughters and a son came across an advertisement from SC Schöngeising.

The club has been looking for a tenant for its clubhouse since autumn 2023 after the previous landlady Sandra Haupt quit to reorient herself professionally.

pasta

So Migliorati and his wife, who live in the district, took over the clubhouse in Schöngeising.

Every week, says the 55-year-old, he has something different on the menu.

I like something Italian, because he makes the pasta himself. But paella, gyros and wild boar goulash are also served.

There are also Chinese or Asian dishes from his wife Lu (53) from time to time.

Good response from members

It is open two evenings and on Sundays from 12 p.m.

When it comes to wine, Norberto Migliorati, who has lived in Germany for twelve years, likes to visit his mother's homeland: He likes wines from the Colli Euganei, a small chain of hills southwest of Padua in the Veneto.

Unfortunately, he doesn't have time to go to Italy and buy products there at the moment.

But he has good dealers who bring the right things to his kitchen in the Schöngeisinger clubhouse.

And as soon as he has properly arrived, he wants to go shopping back home every now and then.

“Then the car is fully on the way back.”

SC chairman Stephan Dodenhoff reports that he has only heard positive feedback about the food from club members so far, reporting on the first days of operation.

And his own test meal “was also very good.”

Now the SC members have to learn a little Italian and Migliorati a little more German, then they will understand each other well.

Private celebrations possible

The clubhouse at the sports grounds (Zur Hartling) is open every Thursday and Friday from 5 p.m. and on Sundays from 12 p.m.

However, as Dodenhoff emphasizes, “the opening hours can be extended, especially in the summer months, due to sports and club operations”.

The clubhouse is also open to members for all kinds of family celebrations; any questions should be directed to the innkeeper.

The guest room can accommodate up to 70 people, and there is also a covered terrace.

You can reach Norberto Migliorati at (01 76) 61 74 60 61.
